The Boat

The boat is a mini transat 6.50 class yacht, with a sloop rig. The yacht is 21ft (6.5m) long and constructed from GRP with an aluminium mast. She was professionally built in 2008 by Race2Win (Germany).

The Mini Transat class of yacht is specifically designed for solo ocean crossings, and they are rugged and well equipped. They are very short in length, and very wide, which encourages high speeds in the right sailing conditions.
